The Role:

 

Due to an internal promotion an exceptional opportunity has become available for an experienced finance leader to join ARYZTA as the Finance Director APAC.

 

Reporting to the Managing Director APAC, the Finance Director APAC will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial control, governance, and compliance across the APAC region, while also partnering closely with senior leaders to drive strategic financial initiatives. 

In this key role you will lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, manage regional controllership, oversee IT and Procurement functions, and act as a compliance champion for the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Group functions to meet reporting deliverables and deadlines across the APAC region.
  • Lead APAC financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end processes.
  • Prepare insightful slides and commentary for Group and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Provide reporting and analysis support to the Regional Managing Director and Senior Leadership.
  • Own internal control and internal audit processes, ensuring alignment across country finance teams.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and banking partners.
  • Review and track all capital expenditure across the group.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the APAC Financial Control, IT, and Procurement teams.

 

Key characteristics of the successful candidate include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or CA qualification preferred.
  • 10+ years of working experience in Finance management, with at least 5 years in a regional finance leadership role.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and in managing change within a large finance function.
  • Prior ERP implementation experience is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
  • High level of integrity, conflict resolution skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
