We have a full time opportunity for superior customer service specialists to become a Taxi Dispatcher within our Customer Service Centre team. Taxi Dispatchers are responsible for the coordinating and dispatching of taxis bookings, communicating with taxi drivers over 2 way radio and assisting with inquiries regarding bookings, emergency procedures and all other inquiries as per company guidelines.

 

Applicants must be able to work a rotating roster which includes mornings, afternoons, and overnight shifts, as well as weekends and public holidays. Applicants who cannot work these shifts need not apply.

Key responsibilities of a Dispatcher:

  • Attend to inquiries from taxi drivers
  • Manage, allocate and prioritise taxi bookings to ensure all jobs are dispatched in a timely manner
  • Assist drivers that are in a safety situation
  • Keep accurate records of all driver or customer safety incidents
  • Monitor call queues and assist in answering incoming calls
  • Assist in training, coaching & mentoring other employees
  • Obtain and confirm the necessary information from the customer regarding their booking, record all data accurately and dispatch the job to the fleet
  • Provide customers with fare estimates

 

What are we looking for?

  • Substantial customer service experience
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Highly developed decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Intermediate computer skills and touch typing skills
  • Ability to remain calm, manage stress and work under pressure
  • Work quickly and accurately with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of the Gold Coast region

 

Hours:

  • Permanent full time = 38 hours per week any 5 out of 7 days, rotating roster of day shifts, afternoon shifts and overnight shifts.

 

Wage:

  • $20.50 p/h + night and wknd penalties + 9.5% super

 

Commencement date:

Immediately
