Gold Coast Primary Health Network (GCPHN) is an independent, not-for-profit company, one of 31 Primary Health Networks established by the Australian Government on July 1 2015, to identify the health needs of local communities and fund and improve primary health services, to keep people well and out of hospital.

About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Information and Technology Manager to join GCPHN in this newly created position on a Permanent Full-Time basis. Reporting to the Information Management Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Supporting the review and development of the IT strategy for GCPHN, whilst maintaining policies, standards, processes, and guidelines.
  • Assisting in managing the life cycle of our IT systems.
  • Providing expert advice on IT tools and their application, especially in Microsoft suite.
  • Ensuring compliance and codes of good practice, in relation to information and knowledge management.
  • Providing specialist advice on ICT and information-related risks.
  • In collaboration with our managed service provider: manage design, procurement, installation, and upgrade of IT infrastructure and its performance.
  • Representing the IM Manager on stakeholder forums and committees, in relation to ICT or related practices and procedures (as required).
  • Supporting GCPHN's compliance with ISO27001 ISMS and ISO9001 Quality Management standards.
  • Assisting in the identification and management of vulnerability, security risks, impact assessments, and breaches.

About You

Ideally, you will have: 

  • Minimum 5 years of Business and Systems IT experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Information Systems, Management, and Administration.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders, to identify and deliver business solutions.
  • Experience in the implementation (including change management) of ICT technical services, delivery processes, ICT standards and methodologies to achieve high quality service outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in relational database technologies. 
  • Applied knowledge of the principles of information and security management, and data governance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative manner and commitment to team-based approach.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft platforms - Office 365, Azure, and Dynamics.
  • A qualification in Information Management Systems (or related field) is required.
