Due to additional funding and increased activity, a new position within the Change Management & Quality Improvement team has become available.
The role will focus on activities relating to cancer screening initiatives, as well as scoping communication and awareness resources to support the new national lung cancer screening program being launched from 1 July 2025.
The Project Officer (Change Management & Quality Improvement) will be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of the Cancer Screening in Primary Care project
- Contributing to the analysis and interpretation of data to inform system improvements and provide considered advice to QLD Health Cancer Screening Unit
- Partnering with general practices to provide support and facilitation in quality improvement and practice development activities
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including general practice staff and other health care professionals
- Contributing to the delivery and monitoring of service contract compliance
- Participating in specific projects, working groups and committees as identified
- Identifying appropriate providers, resources and online modules to support requirements for the activity
- Developing and implementing a cancer screening communication plan for the Gold Coast region (in collaboration with the Communications team)
- Coordinating meetings (including online) and providing secretariat duties as required
This position is a full-time maximum term contract, to 31 July 2025.
