We are looking for reliable, respectful and community-minded Domestic Assistant superstars to join our team located in the Geelong and the Surfcoast region.
 
As a Domestic Services Assistant, you support our genU clients with a range of domestic tasks within their own homes, your days won’t be the same! In this entry role, you will create a supportive relationship with clients that empowers them to live independently regardless of their frailty, health or physical limitations.
This is a rewarding role where you will be interacting with the clients and help them through improving their quality of life.

  • Salary Packaging: Access to NFP salary packaging up to $15,900 per year for general living expenses plus an additional $2,650 pa for meals & entertainment benefits
  • Part time opportunity - we ask for a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week
  • Salary:$24.93 per hour + 11% superannuation + salary packaging benefits 
  • Work life balance - flexible work schedules to suit your lifestyle, we only ask for minimum 20 hours per week commitment.
  • Entry role with multiple opportunities across the business to grow  
 
You will undertake a range of daily domestic and household activities, including but not limited to the following:
  • In home support and companionship.
  • Routine light household cleaning and tidying including laundry tasks and ironing, linen changes, sweeping, vacuuming.
  • Cooking and basic meal preparation.
  • Assistance to organise appointments.
  • Assistance with daily living tasks such as bill paying, support with social and community activities and unassisted shopping.

About You

Requirements:
  • Basic domestic duties experience;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Ability to build rapport and a customer centric approach;
  • Comfortable using technology (i.e. tablet app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning services within the same sector is highly desirable.
Checks and Clearances prior commencement:
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module (WOM) certificate - free and quick to complete!
  • Current (employee) VIC Working with Children Check. 
  • Current Driver’s License valid in Australia and a reliable, registered and ensured vehicle.
