Hey You!

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join and support our Financial Services team. 

The Assistant Accountant will be a trusted advisor at genU and engage with all levels of the organisation in relation to banking, debit cards and credit cards. 

You will be responsible for the processing and reconciling of all bank accounts, debit cards and credit cards. You will also assist with debit/credit card holder applications, year-end audits and strategic projects that involve banking and transactional data.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at the genU Support Hub in Geelong, flexible working arrangements are available. 

Remuneration package from $60,000 - $75,000 p.a. + 11% super + salary packaging benefits - commensurate with experience. 

 

About You?

Our ideal Assistant Accountant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Understanding of financial systems and financial reporting;
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, incorporating effective planning, time management and organisational skills to achieve quality outcomes;
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills and behaviours, incorporating verbal and written communication, flexibility, resilience;
  • Commitment to customer service, with a continuous improvement focus;
  • Proficient user of technology in particular the Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel;
  • Highly desirable: Knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA).

You will need the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline (or working towards this qualification);
  • CA or CPA qualified (or desire to complete);
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain;
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion or willingness to obtain.
