  • Together with Aboriginal communities in NSW, Australia, we have developed an innovative community led program to assist young Aboriginal drivers attain their license, now implemented in a dozen of locations;
  • We are developing an affordable dialysis machine, with potential to save millions of lives each year and transform the way kidney disease is treated globally.

The Centre for Operational and Research Excellence (CORE) is responsible for delivery and implementation of the Institute’s research strategy globally. We are seeking a proactive Team Administration Assistant to to join our growing organisation, on an initial 12 month contract. Working closely with the CORE leadership team, the Team Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing efficient administrative support to the team.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain data into the Institute systems and databases
  • creating baseline metrics for peer review funding at the Institute globally.
  • Put appropriate systems and processes in place to ensure that our Postaward interaction with UNSW Grants Management Office is efficiently managed
  • Collect and maintain data from all staff for the Institute’s conflict of interest register
  • Coordination and assistance with events and event logistics, including joint leadership meetings and global Senior Research Forum(s)
  • Assist with Institute's mentorship program globally (in collaboration with HR)
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, grant applications and publications
  • Undertake designated administrative duties, including travel arrangements, financial payments, budget monitoring, filing and expense reimbursements
  • Assist the team with administrative tasks as required
  • Adhoc duties and projects, as required

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Relevant qualifications in business, administration and/or 5 years’ experience in an administration role
  • Demonstrated excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work with business and commercially sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in different interpersonal environments i.e. autonomously, in small teams and with a wide range of varying stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments
  • Ability to evaluate and recommend changes to existing processes and procedures for greater effect
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work across several teams and managing own workload.
  • Experience working with databases or systems advantageous
