  • 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

Salary range of $161,023 - $181,824k base (Pro rata for part time, dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) + Clinical Allowance of $41,055.41k + 11.5% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit

The Opportunity: 

As a Primary Care Physician focused on clinical trials, you will play a pivotal role in recruitment and following up with trial participants from a distance.

Your clinical expertise will guide patients through their participation and provide allow an opportunity for you to develop novel ways of recruiting participants.

 Key Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Enrol participants in medical research projects using telehealth to obtain consent, check eligibility and obtain baseline data.
  • Support trial participants and trial teams by doing dispensing, reviewing laboratory results and participating in follow-up assessments.
  • Work with clinical trial teams to advise on the different ways and feasibility of engaging primary care practices and engaging trial participants from the general community.
  • Be a resource for researchers at The George Institute and help to design new research projects by providing practical advice about how to engage primary care in medical research projects.
  • Provide support with developing funding applications and reporting research outcomes.

 

Our Successful Candidate  

  • Completed Primary Care Physician training, including accredited prescribing education and training that is consistent with their scope of practice
  • At least 12 months’ experience working as a Primary Care Physician in Australia.
  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Excellent patient communication skills.
  • Adaptable and able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and enjoys working in a team.
