Pro-Rata Salary Range of $58-63k Base Base (dependent on experience, skills and capabilities) plus 12% Superannuation + Smart Salary Packaging Benefit

 

The Centre for Operational and Research Excellence (CORE) is dedicated to developing and delivering solutions and services that empower the Institute’s researchers to achieve high impact and high-quality research outcomes. 

 

We are searching for a Research Services Grants Assistant to provide support for post-award contracts, agreements and research recognition.  

 

The role’s responsibilities include:

  • Supporting post-award functions, specifically Multi Institutional Agreements and liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating research recognition processes such as prizes and awards, including collaborating with the Research Recognition Committee to identify nominees and coordinating submission of applications
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Global RSS sharepoint site
  • Preparation of tailored funding solutions for various groups at the Institute via the UNSW SPIN database
  • Supporting pre award functions on an as needs basis

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Relevant qualifications in business administration
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines with flexibility and resilience 
  • Strong focus on quality of work
  • Understand the need and for and demonstrate strict adherence to confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well and flexibly i.e. autonomously, in small teams and with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to be resilient, flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours of work for collaboration and contact with global teams based on requirements of the position
