About the Role
As our Debtors Officer, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes
  • Issue and track invoices for Council services
  • Monitor and recover overdue accounts
  • Assist the Rates Officer with rates and water accounts
  • Liaise with customers and external agencies
  • Support other finance functions including bank reconciliations and uniform allowances

You will report to the Financial Accountant and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely revenue collection.

 

What We’re Looking For
Essential:

  • Experience in accounts receivable and debt recovery
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally

 Desirable:

  • Certificate III or higher in accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliation processes
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence
