About the Role

As Team Leader – Heavy Patching, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate a skilled team to inspect, maintain, and construct Council’s road assets
  • Operate and supervise heavy machinery including graders, rollers, and skid steers
  • Ensure safety compliance and mentor staff in best practice road maintenance
  • Maintain accurate records and liaise with the Capital Works Coordinator

What You’ll Need

Essential:

  • HR Driver’s Licence (Heavy Rigid)
  • Road construction and maintenance skills
  • WHS General Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Mechanical aptitude for equipment upkeep
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans and supervise works

Desirable:

  • Certificate III/IV in Civil Construction or Frontline Management
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Licences in Traffic Control, Chainsaw Operations, Chemical Use, and more

Who You’ll Lead

  • 2 Heavy Plant Operators
  • 1 Skilled Construction Worker
  • 1–3 Casual Employees (as required)
