About the Role
As the Work Health and Safety Coordinator, you will:
Plan, coordinate, and review WHS programs and systems
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and Council’s WHS Management Plan
Develop and maintain safe work procedures, emergency plans, and risk assessments
Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
Coordinate WHS training and promote safety awareness
Support workers compensation and return-to-work programs
Provide guidance and support to managers, staff, contractors, and volunteers
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
In-depth knowledge of the NSW Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Regulations
Experience developing and monitoring WHS systems
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Current Class C Driver’s Licence
Desirable:
Relevant WHS qualification
SIRA Return-to-Work Coordinator accreditation
Experience with WHS management software
