About the Role

The Executive Assistant (Place & Growth) provides high‑level administrative, coordination and governance support to the Director Place & Growth. You’ll ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations across the Directorate through proactive organisation, communication and stakeholder support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional customer service and support a collaborative team culture
  • Manage calendars, meetings, travel and correspondence for the Director
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, briefing materials and business papers
  • Maintain records, confidentiality and compliance with Council policies
  • Coordinate workshops, briefings, community engagement activities and events
  • Assist with procurement, financial administration and basic budget tracking
  • Support onboarding, training and administrative process improvements

 

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

Desirable

  • Qualifications in Business Administration or similar
  • Experience with local government systems or electronic records management
  • Understanding of GIS
  • Current NSW Class C Driver Licence
