About the positions

Combining paid work and training, you will learn the practical skills that you need to gain a nationally recognised qualification. GPC is committed to assisting you in developing the right skills and experiences in a positive and safe workplace environment, all under the mentorship of our trades and leaders within the business. 

Our 2025 intake offers the following opportunities:

Apprenticeships:

  • Electrical (Certificate III in Engineering - Electro technology)
  • Diesel Fitting (Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology)
  • Mechanical Fitting (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade)
  • Refrigeration Mechanic (Cert III in Refrigeration & Air-conditioning)
  • Parklands Gardener (Certificate III in Horticulture)

About you

Each year GPC employs a number of new apprentices and trainees who have a focus and commitment to safety, possess good communication skills both written and verbal, and have the motivation to learn and develop new skills while working constructively within a team.

Candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria

Electrical:

Year 10 final report or TAFE equivalent with grade C or above in English and grade of B or above in General/Standard Mathematics or C grade in Mathematics Methods.

Please note that successful applicants will be required to undertake colour blind testing as part of their pre-employment medical.

Candidates will be asked to complete an online aptitude & psychometric assessment during the selection process and will be informed of your progress which will determine whether you have progressed to the next stage.

Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening as part of the process.
