Leading Hand - Logistics
Remuneration: $1191.38/week plus applicable allowances and 13% superannuation

What we are looking for?
For this particular role we need a person with Leading Hand experience to join the Logistics team at the John St Depot, a team responsible for providing Multi-skilled Operators to a variety of Council civil maintenance and construction projects throughout the Gympie region.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Support the Supervisor Resource Planning and Allocation in all duties including covering when unavailable (ie phone calls, meetings), on RDO’s and during periods of leave to ensure works continue without interruption.
- Assist the Supervisor Resource Planning and Allocation in achieving quality, safety and environmental outcomes for council’s activities.
- Plan own work, and work of assigned staff to achieve task completion through efficient use of available plant, machinery and human resources.
- Mentor other operators on safe and efficient use of plant.
- Implement and monitor policies, procedures and programs to meet legislative requirements and ensure safety of all employees, contractors and members of the public.
- Complete risk assessments and follow established work procedures.
- Promptly raise issues with immediate Supervisor.
- Supervise the daily work of the crew while establishing and maintaining an environment, which encourages team work. Guide and assist trainees.
- Perform general plant operation and labouring for which the holder is licensed
- Ensure plant, tools and equipment is maintained in good order and in accordance with the operator’s manual, council’s procedures and best practice.
- Accurately interpret plans, instructions and specifications.
- Implement traffic control schemes when required.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Queensland ‘HC’ Class driver’s licence that is current and maintained.
- Construction Industry (White/Blue card).
- RIIMPO321B – Conduct Civil Construction Wheeled front end loader Operations
