About the Scholarship

Guide Dogs SA/NT is offering a one-year Scholarship valued up to $44,500 to complete your Graduate Diploma in Orientation and Mobility online through the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with in person practical components supported by Guide Dogs SA/NT qualified Orientation and Mobility Instructors.

The successful applicant will reside in Adelaide, SA and will be offered a full-time position at the completion of their Graduate Diploma to join our team of dedicated specialists.

About you

We are looking for applicants who:

  • Are currently residing in Adelaide or have a genuine desire to become permanently located in Adelaide at their own expense from February 2025
  • Have completed a degree in either Occupational Therapy, Disability Studies, Education, Teaching, Human Movement, Physiotherapy, Optometry, Social Work, Vision Science or a similarly related field and are therefore eligible for post graduate study opportunities
  • Are enthusiastic about working with people of all ages living with blindness or vision loss
  • Have a person-centered approach to work with the ability to build rapport with people from a range of backgrounds
  • Have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Are highly self-motivated and goal orientated

Relevant employment clearances will be required.
