About the role

Reporting to the Dog Services Operations Manager, the Dog Services Coordinator is a newly created position in our Dog Services Team.

The position will be an active and supportive member of our energetic Dog Services Team and offers a lot of variety from supporting the Dog Service Operations Manager with responding to day to day operational demands, undertaking administration tasks, preparation of emails and letters, data entry and volunteer and event coordination. This enables our amazing dog services team to develop happy and health dogs for our puppy, guide, assistance and facility dog programs.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be an organisational and administrative super star that loves working with people as much as you love being around dogs! Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical, written, and interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

As our team are regularly working in the field or supporting with marketing and/or promotional activities of Guide Dogs Services, you love to be the go to person in a team and have a great ability to keep your team and relevant stake holders up to date with relevant and important information.

Prior experience coordinating and/or leading staff or volunteers in the not for profit sector or health care sector would be highly regarded.

You will need:

  • Qualifications in business admin and/or relevant industry experience in a business coordination role.
  • Sound time management and organisational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills backed with an ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficient and work experience utilising Microsoft Office suite and CRM Data base.
  • High levels of attention to detail with sound business writing ability.
  • Good understanding of WHS practices and principles both in office and for staff and volunteers in the field.

Submitting and maintaining a current Driver’s Licence, Police and DHS clearances is a condition of employment.
