Run by fourth generation Haigh’s family, we employ over 900 people across 22 retail stores currently located in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra, as well as online, plus two factories and head office. Using only the finest and freshest ingredients, Haigh’s prides itself on being a chocolate ‘bean to bar’ specialist, committed to the art of premium chocolate making. Haigh’s roast their own cocoa beans, ethically sourced from plantations around the world, to create a unique blend of premium milk and dark chocolate.  Through meticulous artisan skills that include handmade chocolate creation and finishing, combined with advanced manufacturing equipment and techniques, Haigh’s creates exquisite chocolates that look and taste delicious.
 
We have an exciting opportunity for two experienced Retail Assistants to join our Queen Victoria Building team on a part-time basis. One position is working 104 hours/4-week cycle (average of 26 hours per week), and the other is working 82 hours/4-week cycle (average of 20.5 hours per week). We are seeking two individuals with ample retail experience, exceptional customer service abilities, and of course, a genuine passion for all things chocolate!

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Passion for achieving exceptional customer service
  • Leading by example, always displaying the company values
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all team members and customers
  • Cash/EFTPOS transactions, filling shelves, bagging products, cleaning and stock take
  • High quality food handling including the upholding of hygiene principles
  • Merchandising and stock replenishment
  • Assisting with the training and development of team members

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in retail or a customer service environment
  • Expertise in product knowledge or willingness to gain
  • Opening and closing experience or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
