The Cook is responsible for all aspects of food preparation and cooking for our residents and their special dietary requirements. This hands on role involves cooking as per the recipes and menu provided. You will possess strong knowledge of food safety legislation and be able to carry out your duties in a clean, tidy and hygienic manner at all times.

To be considered for these opportunities, it is essential you possess the following:
/ Certificate of Commercial Cookery
/ Minimum of 12 months cooking experience in a commercial environment and using commercial cooking equipment
/ Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with a range of people including older people, staff, volunteers and visitors, particularly in relation to residents.
A grounded understanding of legislative requirements in respect to standards for food production, storage, hygiene and dietary requirements is essential.
