Helping Hand now has a rare opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our Healthcare Services team on a Permanent Part Time basis (0.6 FTE). This role is accountable to the Healthcare Services Manager to deliver a range of Community Nursing services including the coordination, management and provision of quality nursing care for our clients.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant has highly competent clinical and critical thinking skills to efficiently coordinate and deliver client care in collaboration with the other health professionals whilst maximising efficient use of resources. The application of that knowledge and experience ensures client’s needs are met and clinical standards are maintained within the multidisciplinary team environment.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, it is essential to hold a current practicing Certificate as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and can demonstrate experience in:
/ Supervision and Management of a Clinical Nursing Team
/ Registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
/ Providing Community Nursing services to adult clients in rehabilitative environments.
/ Assessing and evaluating functional needs of clients and providing group and individual Community Nursing services.
/ Creative problem-solving ability to support the delivery of community-based and residential-based programs.
/ Working knowledge of local community services and networks and ability to utilise this knowledge and networks in the provision of services to clients.
/ High level interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and the ability to be cross culturally sensitive.
/ Excellent verbal and written skills in the provision of clear, succinct and accurate assessments, care and support plans and case notes.
/ Demonstrated experience and skills in the use of mobile and office-based computers devices, and data systems and software relevant to the delivery and recording of clinical care.
/ Demonstrated experience providing support to staff undertaking delegated clinical tasks.
/ Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and the ability to initiate and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within a large-scale organisation.
/ Demonstrated commitment to continual professional and personal development.
