Shoalter Automation (HK) Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Team. The role is working Monday to Friday with no shift working required.

This role will suit a Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in automated machinery who is looking for the next step in their career. This role will progress to a departmental management role for the right person.

What You will be Doing

Responsible for Mechanical Design of robotic automation systems with advanced skills in CAD design (Solidworks), creating 2D Engineering Drawings for designed machined parts, creating related illustrative assembly drawing and bills of materials
Able to contribute in the whole design development project cycle starting from conceptual design, actual application design, procurement, assembly, debugging and commissioning
Identify suitable sensors, motors, actuators and other related components for designated project and liaise with suppliers
Manage the costs during design process
Finished the tasks on time
Collaborate with Controls Engineers to ensure correct final function of systems
Collaborate with production and servicing team to improve design

Who is Our Right Fit

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotic Automation Engineering or relevant disciplines
3 or more years relevant work experience
Experience in designing and assembly of robotic automation systems
Experience in 3D mechanical design, such as SolidWorks and FMEA Analysis
Basic understanding of PLC, HMI, robot, machine vision, motors, sensors etc. to ensure system function
Good technical problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, good communication and interpersonal skills, with strong team spirit
Experience with manufacturing process development
Strong presentation skills
Passion for robotic automation and the industry
