We are seeking a talented data engineer to join our team and take part in developing a new data pipeline solution for HKTVmall. This solution will involve ETL processes to provide valuable insights for our customers, merchants, and business users.

This position is open to both mid-level candidates with experience and fresh graduates. We welcome individuals who are motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about data engineering. What You Will Be Doing:

Design, build, and optimise batch and streaming data pipelines to deliver high-quality, organised data products for downstream applications such as analytics and machine learning
Work closely with the data science team or BI team to provide them with the data infrastructure they need to create models and insights
Continuously improve and monitor the performance, reliability, and scalability of our data systems

Who is our Right Fit

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Relevant experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related field (2+ years for Data Engineer, fresh graduates are welcome for Junior Data Engineer).
Excellent command of SQL
Proficiency in either Java or Python
Experience with concurrency and object-oriented programming.
Fluent in Cantonese and proficient in written English
Experience with stream processing and functional programming is a plus
