What You will be Doing
- Maximize the gross profit margin of the Wet Market Express business through effective merchant partnerships and business development strategies.
- Manage and nurture relationships with key merchants and suppliers, ensuring strong collaboration, effective communication, and mutual growth.
- Continuously explore new opportunities and partnerships to expand and grow the Wet Market Express business.
- Source attractive products at competitive prices, ensuring a diverse and appealing range of offerings for customers.
- Develop and deliver compelling pitches to potential new merchants or business partners, showcasing the benefits of partnering with Wet Market Express.
- Manage the team to handle all merchant inquiries promptly and efficiently.
- Strategically allocate and manage all resources to focus on key and important merchants, optimizing return on investments
- Monitor and manage the performance of merchants, ensuring compliance with business standards and targets, and implementing strategies to drive improvement.
- Liaise effectively with different internal teams, fostering strong cross-functional collaboration and communication to support merchant partnerships and business growth.
- Manage the team's key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking progress, and implementing strategies to drive performance and achieve sales targets.
Who is our Right Fit
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the retail, fresh food, or supplier industry, with a focus on merchant partnerships and business development.
- Candidates with less experience will consider as Assistant Manager.
- Ability to thrive and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and strategic thinking abilities.
- Strong sense of ownership and self-motivation.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with merchants and suppliers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and negotiate agreements.
