Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced maternity cover for our general commercial legal function. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance to various departments within the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial contracts. This is a temporary, full-time position with an estimated start date of August 2024.

What You will be Doing

Draft and review a variety of commercial contracts, including e-commerce agreement, payment gateway agreement, sales and marketing agreement, merchant agreement, procurement agreements, service agreements, NDAs
Advise and support cross-functional teams on legal matters and legal risk mitigation
Conduct legal research and provide timely and accurate legal advice, solutions and strategy
Manage external legal counsel and legal spending
Manage and maintain the company's legal records and documentation

Who is Our Right Fit

A law degree holder with minimum 5 years work experience in a fast-paced commercial environment (minimum 2 years in-house experience)
Legal qualification in commonwealth countries
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Thorough understanding of commercial contracts, corporate law, and risk management
Proficient in using legal research tools and databases
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Familiarity with the legal landscape in the HK
Proficient in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
