Who are we?
Wintringham is a specialist not-for-profit organisation providing an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to men and women aged 50-plus who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. We employ over 1000 staff and operate from multiple offices across Melbourne, regional Victoria, and Hobart. Our Head Office provides the strategic direction and support services for Wintringham’s residential, housing and community care services.
Your new role
Based at our Head Office in Flemington, and reporting to the Financial Accountant Aged Care, this position will assist with varying finance functions with a view to facilitating process improvement. This is a fixed term position ending on 31 January 2024 and we are accepting applications from candidates interested in Part Time or Full-Time positions.
Your responsibilities and duties will include:
- Prepare Home Care Package discharge reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly funding submission file for home care program.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and process journals.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia or CPA Australia or studying towards this qualification.
- Technical skills and experience in financial and management accounting.
- Investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks.
- Advanced Excel skills utilising other Microsoft Office applications.
