About us
Wintringham is a specialised non-religious not-for-profit welfare organisation. At Wintringham, we’re not just managing buildings — we’re creating homes. As a leading not-for-profit organisation, we provide housing, residential aged care, and support services to older people who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness. With over 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania, we’re driven by social justice and a deep respect for the people we serve.
Your new role
We’re looking for a strategic and people-focused Property Services Manager to lead our property services across Victoria and Tasmania, including a portfolio of eight residential aged care homes, a supported residential service, 650+ housing units and offices.
Based at our North Melbourne Head Office, this full-time role is your opportunity to shape the future of our built environment — not just expanding it, but by enhancing and preserving what we already have. You’ll lead a skilled team to deliver high-quality, responsive property services that support our mission. From long-term lifecycle planning and capital upgrades, new build feasibility and oversight, to compliance and contractor management, you’ll ensure our facilities remain high quality, fit-for-purpose, and most importantly feel like home. You’ll foster strong partnerships across the organisation, empowering your team to deliver services that truly make a difference
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and developing a collaborative, high-performing team across multiple sites
- Overseeing lifecycle asset management, upgrade projects and the delivery of new construction projects
- Ensuring compliance with the National Construction Code, building regulations, Residential Tenancies Act, Occupational Health and Safety, and aged care/community housing standards
- Providing feasibility advice and insights for new build opportunities
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors
- Driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and service delivery
- Managing budgets, reporting, and procurement with a focus on quality and value
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in property asset and/or facilities management across diverse sites
- Extensive contemporary project management experience
- Strong people leadership and development and capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A passion for continuous improvement and service excellence
- Proficiency in relevant IT tools (Microsoft suite, project software)
- Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Facilities Management or Architecture
