Wintringham is a nationally recognised, values-based organisation providing aged care, housing, and support services to people aged 50 and over who have faced homelessness. With over 1000 staff across Melbourne, Regional Victoria, and Tasmania, our Head Office is the strategic heart of our operations—supporting our frontline teams to deliver compassionate, person-centred care.
Your new role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our finance operations and contributing to the smooth running of a purpose-driven organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment where your work truly matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing financial transactions with accuracy and care
- Supporting daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cycles
- Preparing journals and supporting data
- Providing backup across Accounts Officer roles
- Assisting senior finance staff with admin support
- Driving improvements through our quality systems
We are looking for candidates with the following:
You are an experienced accounts professional who thrives in a collaborative team and values flexibility. You bring:
- Confidence with Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Independence and initiative
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience in a finance team environment
