Hospitality Aide
Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Inspired by the work of St Marcellin Champagnat, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent academic and career pathway results for our inclusive community of students.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Hospitality Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will support our Hospitality program, assisting both teachers and students in practical and theoretical lessons. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, who can exercise appropriate judgment and initiative. This position is part-time (18 hours per week across 3 days during school terms) level 3 school officer position which has a starting rate of $33.17 per hour. Days of work to be negotiated based on College requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Blue Card: Must hold and maintain a current Queensland Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card).
- Education: No formal qualification required, but a Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
- Skills:
- Ability to support students and teachers effectively.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Developed computer literacy skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and online ordering systems.
- Flexibility with work hours.
- Good working knowledge of WHS in a Hospitality kitchen is an advantage.
Desirable:
- Certificate III in Teacher Aide is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of hospitality lessons.
- Support teachers and students in both practical and theoretical aspects of the program.
- Maintain a safe and organized kitchen environment.
- Utilise computer systems for various administrative tasks.

The Recruitment Process
