We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator for our Aged Care Homes in NSW to provide advanced and extended clinical nursing knowledge and skills to enhance home care teams and quality care.  This is a permanent fulltime position and will also require regular travel to our homes.

 

About the role

The Clinical Educator is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of clinical learning and develop programs that broadens the scope of practice of clinical team and the support workforce in delivering quality and safe care.

 

What you'll bring

To be successful in this position you will possess the following:

  • Bachelor of Nursing and Registration, post graduate specialist qualification;
  • Certificate IV in Workplace training and Assessment, or Tertiary qualifications in education or nursing with post registration qualification in education or working towards;
  • Highly developed complex clinical, skills and experience in assessment, treatment and evaluation within older adult health clinical practice;
  • Applied knowledge in adult learning and education principles, including CALD populations;
  • Understanding of the funding and administrative arrangements and compliance requirements of the Aged Care Act 1997 (C'th) (D);
  • Experience in supervising staff in the clinical and care environment;
  • Ability to work as a team player with strong communication skills;
  • Knowledge and experience with ACFI and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards;
  • Compassionate, dedicated and caring nature with the ability to build strong rapport with consumers;
  • Good knowledge of aged care documentation requirements;
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or a willingness to obtain;
  • Full Work Rights in Australia;
  • “C” class or equivalent driver’s licence and vehicle suitable for role
