ICT Customer Support Officer - Aged Care

We are looking for an ICT Customer Support Officer to join the team at our award-winning Aged Facility, Karingal Green, providing ICT support to both our employees and residents. We are looking for a front-facing IT expert who isn't afraid to provide the most basic IT support to vulnerable people in our aged care home. In this role you will also support two nearby, smaller facilities with any IT issues. 

 

About the role

Reporting to the CIO, you will be providing support, education and guidance in the deployment and maintenance of computer infrastructure and the diagnosis and resolution of technical problems and issues. You’ll ensure efficient customer service assistance for ICT related services, including computer and related peripherals, applications and developments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing ICT support to both employees and residents
  • 1-2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience (preferred but not required)
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets, phone calls, and emails and face to face requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Troubleshoot problems related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, Video Conferencing Equipment and office applications and resident TVs.
  • Document issues and resolutions clearly in the Helpdesk system
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 support or relevant departments

What you’ll bring

  • Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and ticketing systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Willingness to work with elderly residents
