We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead the team at Grafton Aged Care Home on a full-time basis. If you would like to live and work in one of North Eastern New South Wales’ most picturesque cities, this may be the role for you.
About the role
You will be instrumental in ensuring the 61-bed facility is fully occupied, meeting accreditation standards and cultivating a stable and positive workplace culture for staff. Your advanced clinical and leadership experience will be vital to ensuring we provide safe, effective, and high-quality care to our aged care residents. You will receive support from 2 Clinical Nurse Managers and a well-resourced central services team.
- Work closely with staff to oversee the daily operations of the home
- Lead the development and implementation of quality management initiatives to ensure residents’ clinical and care needs are consistently met
- Manage the homes roster, ensuring adequate staff are available to meet residents’ clinical care requirements
- Foster strong communication and build trusting relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Create and support a culture of continuous improvement and maintain a safe, high-quality care environment
What you'll bring
- Tertiary qualification (Bachelor or higher) in Nursing and AHPRA registration
- Experience working as a Director of Nursing/Facility Manager in the aged care sector
- A fair, kind and objective manager who is skilled in leading a workforce
- Demonstrated success in financial management within a complex healthcare setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
- Committed to person-centred, relationship-based care that upholds the dignity and respect of all residents
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, evidence of influenza vaccination and full working rights in Australia
