Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group is a family-owned aged care provider operating 41 residential aged care homes, with in-home and community care programs in WA, ACT and NSW. We believe that our commitment to providing high quality care can make a real difference to the lives of our consumers and their families.

About the Role

We are seeking female Aboriginal Support Worker(s) to join our team and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants to live meaningful, self-directed lives within their community. The preference for female workers is due to the request of culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander female participants.*

This role is about more than providing support, it is about building respectful relationships, understanding cultural identity, and supporting participants in ways that honour their values, family, and community connections.

You will work alongside participants to support daily living, community participation, wellbeing, and personal goals, while bringing your lived experience, cultural knowledge, and strengths into the role.

Who We’re Looking For?

We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply. You may have lived experience, community knowledge, or previous experience in support work, or you may be looking to start a new pathway into the sector. We value what you bring, not just what’s written on paper.

You might be someone who:

  • Has a strong connection to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander culture and community
  • Enjoys supporting others and making a positive difference
  • Communicates respectfully and builds trust easily
  • Is open to learning and developing new skills

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III in disability, individual support or equivalent

  • NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
  • Police Clearance
  • “C” class or equivalent driver’s licence and vehicle suitable for role
  • Fully maintained vehicle with current insurance
  • Current flu vaccination
  • Current Australian worker rights
  • Current first aid

What We Offer:

  • We are committed to creating a workplace where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people feel respected, supported, and valued. We offer:
  • Flexible working arrangements to support family, community and cultural responsibilities
  • Professional development and training, including supported pathways into qualifications
  • A culturally safe and supportive work environment
  • Ongoing mentoring and leadership support
  • The opportunity to contribute your knowledge and shape culturally responsive practice
