We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join the team based at our Joondalup office, supporting White Oak and the broader home care business.
About the role
This role will initially focus on building a deep understanding of White Oak, the home care environment, and the AlayaCare system. You’ll play a key role in improving processes, strengthening financial insights, and supporting day-to-day finance operations.
As you develop in the role, you will transition into supporting home care operations across the wider business.
- Transition payroll processing to Hall & Prior Head Office
- Review and approve supplier invoices
- Become the internal expert in AlayaCare (payments and receipts)
- Supervise 2 Accounts Clerks (billing function)
- Manage the debtors process, including follow-up of outstanding accounts
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations
- Be responsible for audits and internal controls - Liaising with internal and external auditors and conducting internal audits (e.g., wage reviews) to ensure accuracy.
- Managing the organisational budget, whilst analysing expenditure and revenue. This will involve providing detailed financial analysis and variance reporting to support budget preparation.
- Prepare weekly forecasts and perform analytical reviews
What you’ll bring
- 2–3 years’ accounting experience
- CA or CPA Qualified
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Tech-savvy with an interest in systems and process improvement
- Advanced excel skills (e.g. automation, pivot tables, power query, advanced formulas)
- Highly developed analytical skills
- Experience in home care or with AlayaCare is highly regarded, but not essential.
- Full Australian working rights
- Willing to provide a Police Clearance
- 2026 Influenza vaccination
