Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group is a family-owned aged care provider operating 41 residential aged care homes, with in-home and community care programs in WA, ACT and NSW. We are seeking a compassionate Senior Speech Pathologist to provide support to our WA homes on a full-time basis. You'll form part of a supportive and collaborative team, mentoring and guiding a motivated team. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave, with the option to become permanent.
About the role
Reporting to the Allied Health Manager, you will be responsible for providing speech pathology services to residents requiring assessment, diagnosis and management of communication and swallowing disorders, as well as supporting our organisation-wide menu management activities and Nutrition & Hydration program. Your well-honed communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills are easily demonstrated when you provide guidance to staff members, as well when making meaningful connections with residents and their families.
What you'll bring
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Post-grad experience overseeing dysphagia management caseload
- Extensive experience in the aged care industry
- Previous experience leading staff (desirable)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Influenza vaccination
- Full work rights in Australia
