Hall & Prior Health & Aged Care Group is a family-owned aged care provider operating 38 residential aged care homes, with in-home and community care programs in WA and NSW. We are seeking a compassionate Dietitian to join our NSW team, on a Full-time basis. We are looking for someone to fill a 6-month Maternity Leave contract, with the possibility of extension for the right person.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of Nutrition and Hydration, you will be responsible for conducting dietetic assessments and reviews, supporting our organisation-wide food service activities and Nutrition & Hydration program. You will have demonstrated experience in providing relationship-centred care that ensures the dignity and respect of all residents. This role is based out of our NSW Head Office in Sydney, NSW, with occasional travel to our more regional homes.
Your well-honed communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills are easily demonstrated when you work in an inter-disciplinary team, as well when making meaningful connections with residents and their families.
What you’ll need to succeed
Essential:
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in Dietetics with membership in the Dietitian Australia as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying evidence-based principles and Dietetic knowledge effectively in consumer management and care.
- Strong ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proven track record in strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current influenza vaccination.
- Possession of a full driver's license and access to a personal vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Full work rights in Australia.
Desirable:
- Clinical experience in Nutrition and Dietetics specific to aged care.
- Interest in and/or knowledge of food service operations within an aged care setting.
- Proficiency in quality improvement principles.
- Commitment to upholding work ethics, respect, and equality values within the workplace.
