HPE School Officer
Marist College Ashgrove is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 5-12, situated in Brisbane's inner Northern suburbs. Inspired by the work of St Marcellin Champagnat, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent academic and career pathway results for our inclusive community of students.
The College has a vacancy for a Health and Physical Education Officer, commencing with us in January 2025.This is a term-time, ongoing permanent position.
Duties involve setting up equipment for Health and Physical Education lessons, planning and participating in Outdoor Education program and administrative duties. This position may also support the Strength and Conditioning Coach. This position is Level 4, for 5 days/week (38 hours/week) at $35.90 per hour.
The ideal applicant will have:
- A commitment to the Catholic and Marist ethos of the College
- Recent experience of a school context
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- The ability to be flexible including attending afterhours events such as camps or excursions.
- Familiarity with a range of equipment used in Health and Physical Education
- The capability to perform physical tasks including moving and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Bus license (preferable)
- Experience working in Outdoor Education including organisation of camps and excursions. (preferable)
- Holding a Certificate III Sport & Recreation, Certificate III/IV in Fitness or experience in Sports administration (preferable)
