Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and skilled professional with a strong background in disability support and coordination to join our Support Coordination team on a casual basis, working between 20 – 25 hours per week.
The Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting individuals with complex needs to achieve their goals of living independently and establishing valued social roles within their communities. This position requires a deep understanding of the NDIS framework and a commitment to upholding the dignity and rights of those receiving support.
Key responsibilities include building strong relationships with individuals and their support networks, navigating the complexities of support provision, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. You will be instrumental in fostering a supportive environment that encourages feedback and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline, with a focus on disability.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar roles, particularly in supports coordination and supporting people with plan reviews through to ART.
- In-depth knowledge of the NDIS and relevant legislation.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability to change, and a commitment to ethical practice.
The ideal candidate will have a deep-seated commitment to the principles of person-centred support and a proactive approach to building community connections for the individuals they support.
