Staffing Options is a highly principled organisation that values its ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of its customers, and is currently seeking an On-call and Relief Coordinator.
This role works from home to provide out-of-hours on-call for our Temporary/Emergency and Collaborative Support Services, as well as provide in-office relief to coordinators. It involves working in the office one day per week as part of the coordination team. This is vital for training, experience and maintaining contact with the team.
In office shifts will be paid an hourly rate, and on-call shifts will be paid an on-call allowance.
Office hours –
- One day per week, preferably Friday 9am to 4:30pm
On-call hours –
- Wednesday on-call at home 5pm to 8am
- Friday to Monday on-call at home 5pm to 8am
The role:
- Provide out of hours on call on a rostered basis
- Be available for relief of coordinators in office
- Match support staff with the person to whom support is to be provided
- Ensure shifts are filled as requested in a timely manner
- Ensure that any specific requests/procedures are passed on to the support staff so they understand what is expected from them on each shift booked
- Support and monitor staff and manage any support they may require, including the ability to assist them to debrief
- Manage and resolve any issues that arise for support workers after hours
What we seek:
- Experience working with people with disability and coordinating their supports is essential
- Broad experience in communities/disabilities sector
- Experience in a similar role or coordination position is highly regarded
- Reliable, friendly and warm with a mature and positive nature
- Experience and understanding of the nature of issues in working and handling matters of a sensitive and confidential nature
- A high level of computer literacy
Certificates required:
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or the ability to attain
- Working with Children Positive Notice Blue Card, or the ability to attain
- Quality, Safety and You, NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate, or the ability to attain
- First Aid Certificate + CPR Certificate, or the ability to attain
