Coordinator – On-call and Relief

Position Overview

The On-call and Relief Coordinator will be primarily responsible for providing out-of-hours on-call support over the phone, while also offering relief to coordinators in the office on a scheduled basis. This position allows for the flexibility of working from home, with a requirement to be present in the office one day per week for training and team collaboration.

Office hours

One day per week (day negotiable), 9am to 4.30pm

On-call shifts at home

Every Tuesday and Wednesday night, 5.00pm to 8.00am

Every second Friday night, 5.00pm to 8am Sunday morning

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a reliable and compassionate individual who possesses a strong background in the communities/disabilities sector. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and characteristics:

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and coordinating their supports is essential
  • Broad experience within the communities/disabilities sector
  • Previous experience in a coordination role is highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion
  • Proficient computer literacy and communication skills
  • A friendly, warm demeanour and a positive, mature attitude

To be successful in this role, you must be able to provide support to staff, facilitate debriefing when needed, and resolve any issues that arise after hours efficiently.

Qualifications & Required Certifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess or be willing to obtain the following certifications:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working with Children Positive Notice Blue Card
  • Quality, Safety and You, NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
  • First Aid Certificate + CPR Certificate
