We are a highly principled organisation that values our ability to be flexible and responsive to the needs of our customers. We are currently seeking a Coordinator to join our Temporary/Emergency and Ongoing Supports team. A 7.5 hour working day will be rostered between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday via negotiation.

You will work with a small, supportive team to provide a personalised service. We are all about relationships and we work in true collaboration with the people we support having optimal control over the supports they receive.

The position is to liaise with and coordinate requests from community organisations, individuals and families to meet temporary staffing needs. Our coordinators manage our large staff pool and match staff to requests for services.

This is a fast-paced role that involves outstanding customer service (primarily over the phone), database wizardry, and an intimate knowledge of disability supports.

The role:

  • Taking requests and matching support staff with person/s requiring support
  • Recruitment and selection, training and induction of support staff
  • Supporting and monitoring support staff, including the management of incidents
  • Administration requirements such as accuracy of staff timesheets and pay queries
  • Provide out-of-hours on call as part of a roster of coordinators
  • High level team work, requiring collaborative relationship building with people both internally and externally

What we seek:

  • Experience working with people with disability and coordinating their supports is essential
  • Broad experience in communities/disabilities sector
  • Experience in a similar role or coordination position is highly regarded
  • Reliable, friendly and warm with a mature and positive nature
  • Experience and understanding of the nature of issues in working and handling matters of a sensitive and confidential nature
  • A high level of computer literacy

Certificates required:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or the ability to attain
  • Working with Children Positive Notice Blue Card, or the ability to attain
  • Quality, Safety and You, NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate, or the ability to attain
  • First Aid Certificate + CPR Certificate, or the ability to attain
