We are seeking a passionate Assistant Venue Manager to bring this vision to life and join us on our adventure to take our hospitality offering to the next level. The Assistant Venue Manager Role is responsible for running daily operations and maintaining service standards at Manly Wharf Bar. Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will ensure that guests are provided with flawless experience by managing the service standards, whilst assisting with the day-to-day running of the venue. 

Working in a dynamic and fast paced organisation, you will be required to work autonomously and within team settings on a variety of tasks such as running the floor, working alongside multiple support teams such as HR, IT, marketing, reservations, events to deliver a world class hospitality experience within the venue.

This role requires a dedicated floor presence to lead by example. This hands-on role requires weekend & night work to ensure leadership support is provided during our peak periods of trade.

Responsibilities include:

• Proactively lead your team in day-to-day operations, our ‘finding the yes’ approach to guest experience, customer service, team development, staff management & KPI management such as revenue, wages & COGs
• Leading by example with a guest focused approach to everything we do and continually looking for opportunities
• Lead and coach a diverse team of people ensuring that a positive and accountable team culture is at the forefront of everything that you do
• Implementing world class customer service for our guests through product, place and service
• Continuously look for ways to improve business operations by driving revenue, managing wages, COGs, wastage and business costs
• Develop and lead training for our team on sequence of service, product and guest experience
• Assist and lead the delivery of brand advocation for Felons Brewing Co via events and experiences at the Manly Wharf Bar
• Monitor guest feedback and navigate guest recovery with positive outcomes
• Contribute to a culture of care and safety, ensuring it becomes a way of life within the business
• Ensuring venue presentation and atmosphere is always at a high standard
• Liaising with other departments on a regular basis to ensure clear and concise communication and goals
• A high knowledge of all aspects of food and beverage
