Howard Smith Wharves is looking for a Casual Commis Chef to join the Events team!

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for various dishes
• Ensure that all food items are prepared to the required standards, following recipes and guidelines provided by senior chefs.
• Assist in the management of kitchen inventory by checking stock levels, reporting shortages, and helping with stock rotation.
• Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen areas at event venues, ensuring all equipment is properly packed and transported.
• Communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen and events team to ensure smooth operations.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role in an events/functions setting or hotel setting is essential
• Undeniable pride for creating and delivering consistent, high quality produce
• Be a positive and collaborative team player
• Open to learning and ready for growth
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Trade Papers
• Flexible availability
