Stan’s Lounge and Stanley and currently seeking an Assistant Venue Manager to lead our bar teams. Nested in the heart of Howard Smith Wharves, this dimly lit and exquisite bar is the perfect escape. With a lounge-infused ambience and a commitment to impeccable service, culinary delights, and unforgettable experiences, we invite you to be part of an extraordinary new journey.
As our Assistant Venue Manager, you’ll report to the General Manager and oversee the awesome bar teams at both Stan’s Lounge and Stanley. If you have experience working in similar high-end establishments, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional, elevated guest experiences and crafting exceptional cocktails, this exciting opportunity is for you! You will bring experience in stock management as well as rostering.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the team to deliver exceptional and premium experiences for our guests.
- Training bartenders on accuracy and consistency of products, specialising in craft cocktails.
- Ensuring glassware levels are kept to accurate levels.
- Minimising wastage and promoting good discipline when handling stock and making drinks.
- Overseeing the bar and barback team.
- Leading and refining bar layouts.

- A wealth of knowledge in the realms of mixology, spirits, and wine.
- A powerhouse of leadership, possessing the ability to inspire and unite a diverse team to reach new heights.
- Customer service-focused, friendly, and welcoming, willing to be the host of the party!
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in managing inventory, analysing sales data, and controlling costs.
