Are you ready to do what you love? Join the Howard Smith Wharves team as a Storeperson at our Morningside Warehouse .
As a Storeperson you are responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of goods within the warehouse. This role oversees the safety of storage, dispatch of stock, while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
In this role you will work as part of a fast-paced team playing a critical role in supporting operational flow, meeting internal supply demands, and upholding workplace safety and inventory control standards
Key responsibilities include:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming stock deliveries, including unloading and quality checks
- Safely store goods in designated warehouse locations, ensuring stock is organised, accessible, and well maintained
- Prepare and dispatch internal orders to meet the operational requirements of venues across the precinct
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Support periodic stock takes and assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting
- Maintain stock rotation practices to ensure product integrity and minimise waste or spoilage
- Assist in tracking and managing minimum and maximum stock levels in line with operational forecasts
- Liaise with internal teams to coordinate timely deliveries and resolve stock issues
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, stock handling, or logistics
- Current forklift license (LF) with safe manual handling capability
- Current valid open driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail with effective time management skills
- Clear communication and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Understanding of workplace safety and stock control procedures
