Howard Smith Wharves are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Receivables Manager to oversee the daily operations of our storeroom and manage incoming stock. This role is responsible for receiving deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the storeroom is organised and efficiently run. The ideal candidate will have strong logistical skills, a proactive mindset, and experience in inventory control or have a background in hospitality operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organise and supervise storeroom staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Manage the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of all incoming goods
- Monitor stock quality and implement effective stock control processes across multiple venues
- Oversee product pricing and inventory accuracy, ensuring alignment with operational needs
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records and manage invoice reconciliation
- Ensure food safety compliance throughout the receiving, storage, and transportation of stock
- Rotate stock regularly and maintain cleanliness and order in all food storage areas
- Uphold WHS standards and hygiene protocols across cellar and receivables areas
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Monitor stock levels and reorder as required to prevent shortages or overstocking
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a similar role with the ability to manage a team
- Previously worked in a hospitality in either front or back of house operations
- Current valid open driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail with effective time management skills
- Clear communication and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Forklift license is highly desirable
