Owned and operated by hospitality and tourism specialists Artemus Group, Manly Wharf is Sydney’s iconic waterfront destination, blending heritage charm with a vibrant community spirit. Artemus Group has a proven track record of delivering world-class dining and entertainment experiences while revitalizing beloved, iconic waterfront sites. As the Events Executive Chef, you will lead the culinary delivery of all event food experiences, from private functions to large-scale events. You will oversee menu planning and execution with a focus on creativity, quality, and guest satisfaction. Working closely with our event teams and suppliers, to ensure offerings align with the brand’s vision while driving innovation, efficiency, and performance across the events kitchen.
What we are looking for:
Menu Development
- Create seasonal, high-quality menus tailored to diverse event formats, themes, and dietary needs
- Align menus with brand activations and client expectations
- Drive culinary innovation and operational efficiency
Operational Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end kitchen operations for events, ensuring food quality, safety, and timeliness
- Lead by example during major services and events
- Manage kitchen logistics, infrastructure, and workflow
Team Management
- Build and lead a skilled, flexible events kitchen team
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members, including a strong second-in-command
- Plan rosters in line with event demands and budgets
Financial Oversight
- Manage kitchen budgets, food and labour costs, and equipment procurement
- Minimise waste and optimise prep through accurate forecasting
- Use data insights to refine menus and operations
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with event, FOH, and operations teams for seamless delivery
- Support client briefings and maintain strong communication across all stakeholders
