Owned and operated by hospitality and tourism specialists Artemus Group, Manly Wharf is Sydney’s iconic waterfront destination, blending heritage charm with a vibrant community spirit.
The Event Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, converting high-value leads, and nurturing key client relationships across all market segments. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this role is focused on proactive business development, strategic account management, and high-level client service, with no direct team management responsibilities.
As a key contributor within the wider Artemus Group sales team, the Event Sales Manager works closely with internal stakeholders to maximise revenue, while delivering exceptional service aligned with brand standards and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve and exceed individual revenue and confirm business targets across key markets.
- Develop and maintain strong pipelines through proactive sales outreach, networking, and client engagement.
- Respond to and convert qualified leads, preparing tailored proposals aligned with client needs and venue profitability.
- Conduct impactful site inspections and host client meetings to secure new business.
- Monitor and follow up on all quotes to drive conversion and maintain strong client momentum.
- Execute venue hire agreements within company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity in CRM/database systems.
- Identify upselling opportunities across products, services, and spaces to maximise yield.
- Attend networking events, industry forums, and trade shows as required to represent the brand and grow the business.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the key point of contact for allocated accounts, ensuring a high standard of communication and service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with the event planning and operations teams to ensure smooth handovers and successful event outcomes.
- Build strong, long-term client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Deliver post-event follow-up to gather feedback, identify opportunities, and nurture ongoing partnerships.
Commercial Acumen & Strategic Input
- Contribute to forecasting, market trend analysis, and performance reporting.
- Work closely with the Director of Sales to refine market strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activity and stay informed of industry trends to ensure market relevance.
