We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join our Felons Fish & Chipper team – someone who values quality, sustainability, and teamwork. Our menu is homely, wholesome and uncomplicated, with produce sourced locally and prepared to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Head Chef with menu planning, recipe development and product sourcing
- Leading, training and mentoring your team with positivity and professionalism
- Delivering food that meets our quality and presentation standards
- Overseeing daily kitchen operations to keep everything running smoothly
- Maintaining consistency in portioning and quality across high volumes
- Managing stock levels and placing orders as required
- Upholding the highest standards of hygiene, safety and kitchen cleanliness
What we’re looking for:
- Trade Certificate in Commercial Cookery
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef (or similar leadership role)
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Experience leading and motivating large teams
- Culinary creativity and a passion for delivering consistently high-quality food
- A flexible approach to work and availability across a rotating roster
- Genuine pride in your craft and the industry
