Are you ready to do what you love? Join the Howard Smith Wharves team as a Storeperson in our Receivables team! This is a casual/part time role that reports into our Stores & Food Safety Manager.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for managing incoming deliveries, maintaining organised storage areas, and ensuring accurate stock control and food safety standards to support smooth and efficient back-of-house operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receive, unload, and dispatch beverage deliveries across the HSW precinct, including loading and unloading trucks.
- This role involves intense manual labour.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for stakeholders across the HSW precinct.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through stock control, stock rotation of FMCG, and preparation of picking lists.
- Monitor and maintain par levels to ensure stock availability.
- Follow all HSW safety procedures while supporting efficient warehouse and delivery operations.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar hospitality‑based role, with exposure to inventory control, stock rotation, and FMCG warehouse environments.
- Extensive food and produce knowledge, along with solid experience in food safety standards and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail across receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching stock.
- Reliable, organised, hard‑working, and able to perform under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong teamwork and communication skills.
