About this Role
We are looking for a Senior Project Architect to join our Sydney studio in a Retail and Commercial focused role.
As an experienced Senior Project Architect, you will have worked across varied medium to large-scale complex projects in Australia. We’re looking for someone who possess experience in a similar role, with ability to undertake projects across their lifecycle. This is an all-rounder role with client facing responsibilities with a passion for design and collaboration.
Experience
- Great working knowledge of the Australian industry
- Knowledge and appreciation of relevant BCA’s and related building regulations and specifications
- Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to visualise design projects
- Excellent sketching skills that bring initial ideas to life and that can be used in client meetings and discussions
- Ability to engage and lead a client stakeholder presentation
- Capable of overseeing and guiding a design team with creative direction on projects
- Efficient management of the day-to-day operations of projects
- Creating and reviewing drawings including checking and marking up drawings and reviewing team members' drawings
Ideally, you will have experience working as part of a team and covering all aspects of the design process including town planning, sketch design and design development and construction documentation
Expertise
- Established experience in medium to large scale retail and commercial projects
- Preferably a registered architect with industry and sector experience. All candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering designs from briefing to project handover
- Solution focused, with a demonstrated proactive and collaborative approach to projects, clients and teams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively communicate and manage clients, consultants and internal team members to achieve desired outcomes
- Proven ability to manage and oversee multiple projects at once
- Team focused leadership approach, respectful and patient with the wider team and an eye for team development
